What our clients are saying

Mark Peritz and his team of professionals are such a Joy to work with. They are committed to excellence, focused on details, offer creative suggestions and solutions, and always communicative.

They transformed the Saugerties Dutch Chapel into The Local, which has become the "go-to" performing arts space in the Hudson Valley thanks to their fabulous work.

Sincerely,
Danny Melnick
Co-Founder of The Local
Saugerties, NY

I had the pleasure of working with Mark Peritz and his team of artist builders on a renovation that took place at the Woodstock School of Art in 2015-6.

Mark and his team were courteous, professional, competent, and were a pleasure to work with. Mark is passionate about his work, and his crew, the craftsmen at JOB, were really talented and thoughtful, creating an incredible set of studios for our students and instructors to be creative in.

I can recommend Mark Peritz highly for your next project. If I can be of further assistance or clarify anything in detail, please call me at 845-657-8761. That line doesn't not receive texts.

Sincerely,
Kate McGloughlin

I expect that Mark Peritz is the best builder you can get.

We have a Byrdcliffe house from 1914. We did a significant expansion about 20 years ago. The new parts match the original so well that when people come in they have to be told what's not original.

Mark is a meticulous craftsman. I don't know if he's technically an engineer, but he understands structure the way an architect and an engineer would. On top of that, and rarely still, he has an imagination. He has the artistic sense of a Broadway set designer.

In my opinion, anyone who gets him is lucky.

Sincerely,

I highly recommend Mark Peritz and Joy of Building. Mark was the general contractor for the renovation of the 1850 church on Route 28 in West Hurley we purchased for the new location of our radio station WDST.

Mark and his team did a great job. We were particularly impressed with his attention to detail and determination to maintain the integrity of this classic building. They worked in a timely fashion and Mark came up with many creative ideas and solved multiple problems that came up during construction.

Mark also worked with us on other renovations for WDST including at our previous locations at 118 Tinker Street and Utopia Studios in Woodstock.

Sincerely,
Richard Fusco
